As things stand the outlook Spanish culture and especially in the Canary Islands, all festival theater and clown who successfully survive is always good news. From 9 to September 12 becomes the Festival 3 Days Farándula in its 4th edition. We will be there to celebrate and enjoy it.

Andrew Geoffrey Kaufman (New York, January 17, 1949 - Los Angeles, May 16, 1984) was an American comedian. Preferred called himself "a dancer and singer," ensuring that "never told a joke in my life." It is one of the exponents of the movement of anti-humor. He was also a composer. He studied arts at the university television, which influenced his later work. In 1999 comedian Jim Carrey in Man on the Moon movie directed by Milos Forman.
Beginnings
Kaufman was known for his character "foreign man", who played in the early 1970s. This "foreign" claimed to be of Caspian, a fictional island in the Caspian Sea and performed poor imitations of popular characters.
The crowd, angered by the poor quality of the act, later discovered they had been duped and that it was only the signature of the actor, who was then able to interpret as imitations of Elvis Presley, which the King of Rock and roll came to recognize their favorite.
In an interview with Steve Martin, Kaufman says he started doing only the imitation of Elvis Presley but people did not much like an imitation so he invented the character of the foreign man for people you wanted and then able to imitation Elvis. Death Andy Kaufman died in Los Angeles on May 16, 1984, at age 35, victim of lung cancer. He was buried in Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, New York (Long Island). He was diagnosed in 1983 but was kept secret until almost the day he died.
Many have doubted the veracity of death, wondering if it would be really the last joke of Andy Kaufman. Family and friends say that the comedian never drank nor smoked, and followed a vegetarian diet. Blamed for the disease to their years of work in clubs, in maintaining prolonged contact with smokers. Also rumor that Kaufman faked his death to return 20 years later, although in 2004 there were no reports of such urban legend. He even says that plastic surgery transformed by Jim Carrey.
